FORT MILL -- York County Regional Chamber sales seminar to be Wednesday
The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Council will present the third of a five-part series on sales from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Sweet Peppers Deli, 936 Market St., Suite 106, Baxter Village.
Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m.
Jay Rinehart, president of Rinehart Realty, will lead the seminar. His topic will be “Market Research: Knowing your Customer.” Time will be allowed for questions and answers. The seminar also includes a light breakfast. The cost to attend is $10 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers.

Fresenius Medical Care to celebrate grand opening
Fresenius Medical Care/TruBlu Logistics will celebrate the grand opening of its new location at 11 a.m. Thursday at 2865 Dave Lyle Blvd. in the Waterford Business Park. The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce will assist with a ribbon-cutting.
Fresenius Medical Care manufactures and distributes a variety of dialysis products and equipment, including dialysis machines, dialyzers and other dialysis-related supplies. The distribution center manager for the Rock Hill location is Doug Bowman.

Leadership Lancaster program scheduled to begin Nov. 18
Leadership Lancaster, a program of the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, is set to begin its 2009-2010 program on Nov. 18.
Since 1988, the chamber has conducted the seven-month Leadership Lancaster program, which is designed to inform, challenge and educate potential community leaders about the opportunities, goals and needs of the community, as well as the dynamics of social and economic change, and to identify organizational and individual opportunities for their personal involvement in the community.
More than 400 have graduated from the program in past 20 years.
The course includes seven all-day sessions, to be held November through May; a two-day mandatory retreat at North Myrtle Beach in January; participation in a legislative visit to Columbia; and a graduation dinner.

Komet USA to celebrate opening of new corporate headquarters
Komet USA will celebrate the opening of its corporate headquarters with a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. Tuesday at its new location, 3042 Southcross Blvd., Suite 101, in the SouthCross Corporate Center, next to the Home Depot in Rock Hill.
The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce will assist.
Komet USA recently relocated from the BTC Building on Anderson Road to the SouthCross Corporate Center.

Lake Wylie business after hours event to help Safe Passage
Rinehart Realty Lake Wylie Location at 264 Latitude Lane will host a business after hours event at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The event will feature a silent auction as a fundraiser for Safe Passage, a private nonprofit organization that provides services in York, Chester, Lancaster and Union counties for women and children fleeing abusive situations.
