Stiles, Rinehart realties merge

FORT MILL -- Stiles Realty merges with Rinehart Realty

Stiles Realty has merged with Rinehart Realty, which has offices in Rock Hill, Fort Mill/Tega Cay and Lake Wylie.

Rinehart has been independently and locally owned since 1976. This is the eighth in a series of mergers and acquisitions for Rinehart in the last 20 years.

With the merger, Jay Rinehart, president and CEO, has added 10 new real estate agents to the company.

Chamber membership luncheon today

Randy Imler, executive director of the Catawba Regional Council of Governments, will speak during the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce's membership luncheon at noon today.

The luncheon will be at the City Club of Rock Hill, 140 E. Main St.

Manor York to celebrate grand opening

Manor York Senior Residences will celebrate its grand opening at 2 p.m. Thursday at 1122 Manor Close Drive in Rock Hill.

The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce will assist with a ribbon-cutting.

Manor York is an apartment community for residents 55 and older and includes two-bedroom apartments, a clubhouse with a game room, fitness center, business center, meeting area, medical screening area, hair salon and on-site staff.

Competition Accessories to celebrate grand opening

Competition Accessories, a new catalog outlet superstore, will celebrate its grand opening at noon Friday at 3049 SouthCross Blvd., next to Home Depot at Cherry and Celanese roads.

The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce will assist with a ribbon-cutting.

Competition Accessories is a direct merchant of motorcycle parts and accessories. The store opening completes the first steps of the company's relocation of it national headquarters and distribution center to Rock Hill from Ohio. The company's retail dealership will remain open in Springfield, Ohio.

Job forum set for Saturday at York Tech

The S.C. Employment Security Commission, with support from state Sens. Wes Hayes and Mick Mulvaney, state Reps. Deborah Long and Jimmy Neal and other area legislators, will hold the Catawba Area Job Forum from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. It will be in Building A on the campus of York Technical College in Rock Hill. Building A is next to the library.

The forum will offer help to residents of Chester, Lancaster and York counties in their search for jobs and new careers.

State Employment Security Commission employees will meet with anyone seeking work to assess their needs. The Catawba Area Job Forum is intended to connect jobless residents with local employers that are hiring and to give job-seekers a chance to receive free advice on their careers or educational and training opportunities.

Information about jobs listed through the state Employment Security Commission's statewide Job Link Internet job site will be shared with job-seekers who can go online or do manual job searches on their own or with the assistance of commission personnel.

Those in Lancaster County who want to attend and need transportation should call the United Way at 803-283-8923 by Friday.
