Designer to visit Allison Love's Fine Jewelry

Allison Love’s Fine Jewelry of Rock Hill is opening a new store at 10605A Park Road in Pineville.

To mark the opening, the store is hosting a series of events from Dec. 4 through 7. Among them, the store will host designer Astrik Harajian and her Astrik Couture line featuring “Shining Star.”

Shelly Lawson receives management honor

Shelley Lawson, manager of the Courtyard at Highland Park in Rock Hill was named a 2008 site manager of the year at Landmark Property Management Co.

She was recognized at a company-wide meeting in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Lawson lives in Union and has worked for Landmark Property Management for almost four years. She has managed the Courtyard at Highland Park since April. The complex, which provides affordable housing for seniors, was formerly a textile mill.

Reeves in charge of Wilder's Rock Hill region

Steve Reeves has joined ERA Wilder Realty Inc. as the Broker in Charge of the firm's Rock Hill regional office at 850 Cherry Road.

Reeves is an eleven-year veteran of the local real estate industry; the 2005 president of the Piedmont Regional Association of Realtors, a former regional vice president of the South Carolina Realtors Association, a 2004 Graduate of Leadership SCR, and a certified Real Estate Instructor in Pre-license, Post-License, Continuing Education, and Broker A&B.

Dog grooming shop to open in Lake Wylie

Kim Oepen will open Grooming Naturally, a dog grooming shop, Dec. 2 at Plantation Square on Charlotte Highway in Lake Wylie.

Oepen has more than 10 years experience with dog grooming and is safety certified. She will use all natural grooming and cleaning products, which are safer for pets and environmentally safer.

Nominations due for York Regional Chamber awards

The deadline to submit nominations for the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious annual business awards is Monday.

The awards will be presented during the Regional Chamber’s 10th Annual Meeting to be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Baxter M. Hood Continuing Education Center, 452 S. Anderson Road. This year’s annual meeting is being presented by Wachovia Bank NA.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

- Lifetime Business Achievement Award

- Fort Mill Area Council Business Person of the Year

- Rock Hill Area Council Business Person of the Year

- Tega Cay Area Council Business Person of the Year

-Small Business Person of the Year

The Chamber’s selection committee will review the nominations for consideration.
