AME

Adams Chapel AME Church, West Main Street, Rock Hill: Hallelujah Festival, 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at the church, featuring games, food, prizes and fun. Free and open to the community. Deadline to apply for the Bishop Preston Warren Williams II scholarship for undergraduates and the Rev. Kenneth C. Taylor scholarship for high school seniors is Feb. 28. Applications are available at the church.

Hosana AME Church, Rock Hill: Tables are still available for $5 for the church's community yard sale to be held at the corner of West Main and Wylie Streets. To get a table or to make donations to the sale, call the Rev. Freddie Paige, 803-322-0750.

AME ZION

South Carolina Annual Conference: 143rd annual session concludes today and Sunday with a home missions banquet, 7 tonight at Baxter Hood Center and a worship and commissioning service at 9 a.m. Sunday at South Point High School, led by Bishop Kenneth Monroe.

Mount Carmel AME Zion Church, Mount Carmel Road, Heath Springs: Pastor's appreciation service, 11 a.m. Sunday. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.

First ARP Church, East White Street, Rock Hill: Friends of the Library book sale, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the church gym. Kirking o' the Tartans service, 11 a.m. Sunday. Churchwide Table Talk gathering, 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lesslie land with fellowship, singing, meditation and dessert. HARPS covered-dish luncheon, noon Tuesday in Robinson Hall. Service of Remembrance, 4 p.m. Nov. 1 to remember loved ones who have passed on.

Neely's Creek ARP Church, Rock Hill: Covered-dish lunch, after worship Sunday. Harvest Festival for children and adults, 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31. The Cherub Choir is collecting canned goods for HOPE and the Neely's Creek food pantry. Bring donations by Nov. 1.

The 123rd annual session will begin at 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at Friendship Baptist Church in Chester. The session will continue through Nov. 6 at Friendship.

Jerusalem Baptist Church, Steele Street, Fort Mill: Jerusalem Baptist Church and Unity Presbyterian Church will host the Second Harvest Partners mobile food pantry at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jerusalem Baptist Church. Volunteers are asked to report at 8:30 a.m. Second Harvest Partners is a ministry sponsored by Providence Presbytery and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Sixteen local congregations have joined together to host the mobile pantry at 10 sites during 2009. The final site for 2009 will be Nov. 5 at Hermon Presbyterian Church sponsored by Hermon and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Guests must meet USDA financial eligibility guidelines.
