The Chester Assembly held its annual Holiday Ball at The Chester County War Memorial Building on Friday, presenting eight young women.
Receiving in the foyer with Mrs. James Wayne Edwards, president, and Mr. Edwards were the officers and members of the board. The ballroom was decorated in a red and silver theme commemorating the theme of the club's first Christmas Ball. John Anthony Cabrey served as master of ceremonies.
The debutantes, wearing traditional white gowns and carrying bouquets of red roses, were:
Laura Douglass Marion, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Alexander Douglas Marion of Chester; presented by her father. Her marshal was Richard Adam Stone Stovall III of Spartanburg.
Elizabeth Anne Elliott, granddaughter of Floyd Avery Elliott of Chester and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Avery Elliott of Spartanburg; presented by her grandfather. Her marshal was Elias Avery Latto of Spartanburg.
Elizabeth Katherine Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Marion Clark of Greer, sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Milton Earle Hamilton Sr.
