The March of Dimes will present its 18th annual Celebrity Look Who's Cookin' benefit from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Baxter Hood Center, 452 Anderson Road, Rock Hill.
The event will include entertainment, dancing, silent and live auctions, an open bar and more than 30 dishes to sample, prepared by local and area individuals and professional cooks.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. They are available at all Rock Hill and Fort Mill Burger King restaurants, Microtel Inn and Suites, the March of Dimes office and at Hair by Stan and Co.

Black history program planned at Castle Heights
Castle Heights Middle School will celebrate Black History Month with a Wednesday morning program about the contributions of African-Americans in history, entitled I'm Next in History.
The program will cover the accomplishments of African Americans such as George Washington Carver, Harriet Tubman, Garrett Morgan, Martin Luther King Jr. and others.
Students will depict the contributions of these leaders through a historical wax museum, monologues, skits, Power Point presentations and musical renditions.
There will be a student video presentation of the contributions of student leaders at Castle Heights. Students will discuss how they are working to become "next in history."
The program will be at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
Deadline extended for city youth sports signup
Registration for Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism's spring youth sports has been extended until Friday. Those who sign up this week will be assessed a $5 large charge in addition to the regular fees. Baseball, soccer and girl's softball are offered.

Soap box derby group announces June 28 race
The local All-American Soap Box Derby chapter is accepting registrations until April 4 for a local championship race scheduled for June 28.
Boys and girls ages 8 to 17 from York, Chester and Lancaster counties in South Carolina and Mecklenburg, Gaston and Union counties in North Carolina may enter.
Children will build and drive a gravity-powered car in one of three divisions. Champions in each division will compete in July at the world championship race in Akron, Ohio. For details, visit www.huntersvillesbd.org or call 366-4060.

Habitat for Humanity Winthrop campus chapter will have a breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill, 2227 Dave Lyle Blvd., Rock Hill.
Tickets are $6 and donations are accepted. Tickets may be purchased at the York County Habitat for Humanity office, 1034 Charlotte Ave., Rock Hill. Proceeds will be used toward the purchase of a land lot for a future Habitat Home in York County.
