The Come-See-Me Festival, April 17 through 26, is seeking participants for the following events:
• Auditions for Broadway Night at Glencairn Garden will be from 6 to 8 p.m. March 31 and April 1 at the Bigger House, 725 Crest St., Rock Hill. The show seeks participants of all ages, including solo, group, instrumental, vocal or dance groups to perform Broadway show tunes. Performers must provide their own CD or a keyboard accompanist. Costumes are encouraged but not required. The show will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 24 at Glencairn Garden. To register for an audition, call 329-7625 by March 20. • Participants for the "All American" red, white and blue parade are needed. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. April 17, from East White Street to Oakland Avenue to the Dinkins Student Center at Winthrop University. The DooDahs section returns to the parade and is open to neighborhoods and groups. To participate, an entry from and a fee of $30 is due by March 30. Space is limited. • Twenty-five teams are needed to compete in the barbecue cook-off competition April 26 at Winthrop Lake. The teams will cook barbecue to be sold by the pound at the tailgate party to benefit York County law enforcement and the Worthy Boys and Girls Camp. Teams will compete for prizes of up to $1,000. The competition will be judged by the South Carolina Barbeque Association. A no-pork barbecue competition will be April 25 during the Moonlight Jazz and Blues event at Winthrop Lake. Teams will compete for prizes of up to $300 by cooking items of their choice. Sample sizes will be sold. To participate in either competition, submit an entry form and fee of $250 before April 4. Andrew Jackson park to host birthday bash
Andrew Jackson State Park will have its annual Andrew Jackson birthday celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the park, 196 Andrew Jackson Park Road, Lancaster.
Activities include traditional 18th-century craft demonstrations, Revolutionary War re-enactments, dulcimer music and hands-on tables featuring colonial toys, slate and quill pen writing, butter churning and candle dipping. The museum and one-room school house will be open for tours and the Clemson Extension Master Gardeners of Lancaster will have a plant sale. Brunson's barbecue and baked goods will be sold.
The free event is sponsored by the park, Friends of Andrew Jackson State Park, Lancaster County Retired Educators and the city of Lancaster. For details, call (803) 285-3344.

York County libraries will have the following free events this month:
• Book clubs for adults. A discussion of "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philippa Gregory will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fort Mill Public Library, 1818 Second Baxter Crossing. To register and reserve the book, call 547-4114. A discussion of "Blessings" by Anna Quindlen will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the York County Library, 138 E. The book, "Gap Creek," by Robert Morgan will be discussed at 1 p.m. March 17 at the Fort Mill Public Library.
• Civil War family life, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the York Public Library, 21 E. Liberty St. Colleen Carney will illustrate the effects of the Civil War on women and children. Carney is the director of the York County Library and a member of a living history group, the Carolina Ladies Aide Society. The program is for adults and children, ages 9 and older.
