Prominent printmaker will speak at woman's club

Gary T. Kerr, an internationally known printmaker, will speak at the Woman's Club of Rock Hill at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the clubhouse, 607 Aiken Ave., Rock Hill.

Wine and hors d' oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m. Kerr is president of Fine Art Impressions photography and printmaking studios in Davidson, N.C.

He will speak about giclee, an archival digital printmaking technique he used to reproduce the Joyce Netzler watercolor of the pergola and gardens being restored by the club. The limited edition prints are numbered, signed by the artist, matted and ready for framing. Prints will be $75 each at the event.

Kerr is recognized in the national and international fine art marketplace for his work replicating original art to museum-quality standards. The work was artist Simon Vouet's "Prudence Leading Peace and Abundance," an oil on canvas that dates to 1645.
