Police are searching for a man who threatened a Rock Hill Walgreens employee in a note before stealing $3,000 in pain and other medications early Monday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m., a tall and thin white man wearing a black and red checkered jacket gave a note at the pharmacy at Walgreens, 1008 Oakland Ave., that demanded cash and specific medications, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The note read: “I don't want to hurt anyone. Disobey and people will die. Do not alarm anyone or things could go to hell starting with you first. All I want is to collect and leave. #1 keep your hands where I can see them. Stay off the computers and phones. I am only after specific medications. Empty the cash register.”
The employee complied, handing over pain medication including different doses of Morphine and Oxycodone and Xanax pills. She also gave the man $43 in cash, the report says.
The man told the employee not to call the police until 10 minutes after he left.
The suspect is described as being in about 35 years old, around 5-foot, 10-inches tall, weighing and 180 pounds, reports say.
