Police say Watts’ crime spree began in October and ended Feb. 14 after an attempted armed robbery and shooting at Cash on the Spot on South Cherry Road.

Over a 17-day period, police said, Watts robbed three businesses, where he shot two clerks and two customers. After Watts was arrested at a Rock Hill condominium Feb. 18, police says he confessed to seven robberies.

Watts faces multiple charges, including six counts of armed robbery; attempted armed robbery; four counts of assault and battery with intent to kill; two counts of kidnapping and seven counts of possession of a firearm during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.

Watts remained in custody today at York County Detention Center.
