The father of an 11-month-old girl abducted Wednesday was arrested that afternoon after the toddler was found safe in Fairfield County, according to a press release issued by the state’s Law Enforcement Division.
Authorities suspected Casey Sinclair, 27, of Rock Hill, of taking his daughter from the Catawba/ Leslie area around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday while intoxicated and in a fit of rage.
He was arrested after SLED agents and Fairfield County deputies located them Wednesday afternoon, the release states.
Sinclair was charged with the use of a vehicle without the owners consent, said York County Sheriff's Office Capt. Jerry Hoffman. Hoffman said further investigation is pending, and the department will determine if other charges are warranted.
