A Rock Hill woman is in jail this morning after police said she ran over a man’s arm as he was trying to repossess her car.

Authorities charged Demetria Evette Dockery, 25, of 306 Clayton Ave. with assault of a high and aggravated nature in connection with assault that happened Monday night at Dockery’s house.

It is unclear if the 20-year-old Boiling Springs man sought medical treatment. He could not be reached for comment this morning.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, the man attempted to repossess Dockery’s car, according to a report from York County Sheriff’s Office.

Dockery told the man “that he was not taking her car and she would run over him,” the report notes.

The man told police Dockery got in the car while he was underneath it, pulled off and ran over his arm, according to the report. Police saw tire marks on the man’s left arm, the report notes.

Police on Monday were unable to locate Dockery; however, authorities issued a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Dockery’s bond has not been set this morning.
