Students can stock up on books this week at the BOGO Book Fair during school hours Monday through Friday in the Media Center.

Rosie's Girls for sixth- and seventh-grade female students will be held from June 16 to 27 at the Applied Technology Center. MOVER's camp for seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade male students will be held June 9 through 13. Applications are available through Ms. Clark in the Guidance Office. Space is limited.

Travis Walker was selected to receive the Kind Acts Foundation recognition award for frequently volunteering to help and being courteous to students, teachers and staff.

She was selected for her ability to overcome her past mistakes and work toward greater achievements.

Eighth-grader Bethany Moorefield, daughter of John and Lisa Moorefield, was recently selected as one of two York Area Optimist Club Students of the Month for April and received a plaque, Optimist Creed and $50 savings bond. She was selected for her activities in church, athletics and academics.

HIGH

Clover, York

Clover FFA Dairy Foods team members Skylar McMackin, Devin Cathey, Angie Stone and Jann Robinson, the third-highest scorer, recently claimed the Runner-Up title in the State Finals held in Columbia. They were coached by Carrie C. Bolin, agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor at Clover.

York team members Mason Blair, Katylin Rogers, Lesley Barton and Hannah Gourley took third-place honors in the state competition. They were coached by Frank Sandifer, agricultural education instructor and FFA adviser at the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center in York.

Lewisville

The school's first annual Old-Time Country Fair, to support the band and athletic programs, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 24 at the band practice field and will include old-fashioned carnival games, food, crafts, live entertainment and a step show competition. South Pointe

Samantha Sutton, daughter of Keith Sutton, was awarded the Ronald E. Smallwood Scholarship, sponsored by the National Electrical Contractors Association. She plans to attend Clemson University in the fall.

St. Anne

The middle school band will have a concert at 7 p.m. Monday, and the first and second grade musical "Feeling Good" will be held at 7 p.m. May 20.

Trinity

Fifth-graders will have a science fair from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the elementary lunch room.

Hillary Waldroop and Paul Whitley were recently nominated for the Gardner-Webb University Junior Scholar Program. Waldroop and Alysa Smith were nominated for the Columbia College Scholars Program.

Tiffany Olson received the 2008 Governor's Citizenship Award and attended a special Citizenship Day event last month.

A fall sports information meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by the Spring Athletic Awards Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Friday, both in the Catawba Campus gym.

High school students are invited to attend a 10-day tour of Barcelona, Paris and London next month, June 17 through 26, with the school. The tours also are open to middle school students accompanied by a parent, as well as family and friends of the school, including former students and college students.
