LAKE LURE, N.C. -- James Edward Lee, 74, died July 4, 2008, in Rutherfordton, N.C., in the Hospice House in Forest City, N.C. He resided at 142 Spruce Hill, Lake Lure, N.C. He is the husband of Tammy Melton Lee. Mr. Lee made his home in Lake Lure after retiring from his construction business, Specialty Contractor in Chester, S.C. He was of the Pentecostal faith.In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Gerry, David and Michael Lee, all of California; two stepsons, David Melton and James Levister Jr., both of Rutherfordton, N.C.; two daughters, Brenda Yovaish of Longwood, Fla., and Lynn Bueno of Lake Lure; two brothers, Don and Rich Lee of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Barbara Brisdin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Shirlee Meyung of Port Orange, Fla., and Patricia Brown of Tampa, Fla.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 5 at Wright-Pollard Funeral Home, 115 York St., Chester. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, July 6 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial may be made to the Hospice House of Forest City, N.C.
