YORK -- Amanda Annie Lee Stewart Ballard, 91, of 1933 Colonial Acres died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Clover, S.C., with the Rev. Daniel Messer and Floyd Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery in Clover.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 5, 2008, at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover.
Mrs. Ballard was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Clover, S.C., to the late Mack Carroll Stewart and Luna Mae Wilson Stewart. She was retired from American Thread and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Ballard was the widow of Lawrence E. Ballard and preceded in death by brothers, Lloyd Stewart, Lacy Stewart and Pete Stewart and son-in-law, Glenn Chaney.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Louise B. and Darvin Dover of Rock Hill, Rachel B. and Gene Falls of Gastonia, N.C., and Elsie B. Chaney of Clover; sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd L. and Linda Ballard of Clover, Charles K. and Patsy Ballard of Gastonia, N.C., Kenneth R. and Jayne Ballard of York, S.C., and Larry E. and Kathy Ballard of Gastonia; and brother, Mack C. Stewart of Clover; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren
