CHESTER -- Mrs. Vera Louise Roach Lawson, 88, widow of Robert Smith Lawson, died Saturday at her home, 115 Nella Street.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. R. B. Ashley officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawson was born March 21, 1920, in Union, S.C., a daughter of the late Samuel T. and Myrtle Hudson Roach. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Don Lawson and wife, Pat, of Spartanburg, S.C., and Bobby Lawson and wife, Vicki, of Chester; two daughters, Phyllis Caughman and husband, Tommy, of Clinton, S.C., and Lynda Blanchett and husband, Robert, of Chester; seven grandsons; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Berry Lawson; a brother, Sam Roach; and a sister, Lillie Hossack.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street in Chester.
