CINCINNATI -- Dr. Marvin "Bob" Kirsh passed away Aug. 15, 2008, at a hospital in Cincinnati. He was 77 years old.
His wife, Saundra Kirsh was by his side during his long illness. He was the father of two sons, Dr. Gary Kirsh and Dr. Brian Kirsh, both of Ohio. He is also survived by his two brothers, S.C. State Representative Herb Kirsh of Clover, S.C., and Dr. Alan Kirsh of Macon, Ga., and their spouses and children; and five grandchildren.
Bob graduated from Clover High School in 1947 and also from Duke University. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean war. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and he was a practicing physician in Cincinnati for almost 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Yetta Kirsh of Clover.
Bob was known as a compassionate physician and as a true gentleman. He volunteered as the local high school sports director and in many other service organizations over the years.
