MONCKS CORNER -- Dianne W. Hyrne, 58, of Moncks Corner, retired administrative assistant with the Berkeley County School System and wife of Richard A. "Rick" Hyrne Sr., died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, in a local nursing home.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner. Burial will be in St. John's Baptist Cemetery directed by Russell Funeral Chapel in Moncks Corner. Friends may call at Russell Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
Mrs. Hyrne was born Sept. 27, 1949, in Charleston, a daughter of Hampton R. Wickert and Myrtle Creech Wickert.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner. Dianne was a graduate of First Baptist High School in Charleston and of Winthrop University. She was employed by the IRS in Rock Hill and Columbia for many years and had retired as an administrative assistant with Berkeley County School System.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Moncks Corner are her husband, "Rick"; two daughters, Hannah A. Hyrne of Moncks Corner and Whitney Weslowski and her husband, Keith of Green Cove, Fla.; a son, Richard "Rally" Hyrne Jr. of North Charleston; two sisters, Janice Atkinson and Elizabeth Mueller, both of Moncks Corner; a brother, Robert Wickert of Charleston; two grandsons, Gage Lindsley and Hayden Weslowski; and several nieces and nephews.
