SMYRNA -- Ronald Arthur Hedlund, 72, of 2266 Orchard Road died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Sharon, S.C. The Rev. Barry Lambert will be officiating.

Mr. Hedlund was a son of the late Arthur Hedlund and Retta Myers Hedlund. He was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church. He was retired from the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Karin Hedlund of Smyrna, S.C.; a son, Nicky Hedlund of Fort Mill, S.C.; a daughter, Randy Trotter of Smyrna, S.C.; one sister, Janice Wennberg of Brainerd, Minn.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held after the service at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church.

Bratton Funeral Home in York, S.C. is serving the Hedlund family.

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Norman O'Neil Lowery passed away Aug. 22, 2008, in Wilmington, N.C.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Monday at Boyd Hill Baptist Church in Rock Hill, with the Revs. J. Thomas Barber, George Lowery and Steven Currence officiating.
