CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Mr. Gerald A. Downing, 90, of Charlotte, passed away May 15, 2008, at Rock Hill Healthcare.

Mr. Downing is survived by a son, Robert Downing; a brother, Howard Tip Downing; and a grandson, Brian Wyatt.

A private burial will be held in Butler, Pa.

Rock Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 135 Oakland Avenue, is serving the family.
