Give Obama a chance
Thumbs down for the ignorant words written by Joanne Thomas about how President-elect Obama wants to get his hands on her "meager holdings," and thumbs up to Glenn Ross for setting her straight. I would like to know what Ms. Thomas thinks Obama wants to do with her money? This man ran a clean campaign for over two years and never borrowed, misused or stole one dime. News flash: If her holdings are in jeopardy, it has nothing to do with Obama! As Mr. Ross so kindly stated, she should look to the Republicans who ran this country's economy into the dirt prior to Nov. 4, and not to the one who does not even start work until Jan. 20.
Because I have respect for myself as well as our new president, I will not tell Ms. Thomas what she can really do with her full page picture of Obama. However, I will tell her and the other naysayers to at least give this man a chance to prove himself. As far as I'm concerned, he cannot possibly do much more damage! As a matter of fact, I suspect he will spend the first four years cleaning up the mess left behind by President Bush.

Why haven't prices dropped?
When gasoline and diesel prices went into orbit, it naturally followed that food and restaurant prices would follow suit. After all, nearly everything is transported.
Problem is that now, with fuel prices less than half of the peak, I don't see any reductions at the grocery store. I wonder why?
