Slaughter-Miller

The Shield of Faith Church in Rock Hill, S.C., was the setting Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, for the marriage of Megan Christine Miller of Rock Hill and Jeffrey Gy Slaughter of Smyrna, S.C.

Pastors Darren Hileman and Larry Soles officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the Thomas Patterson Life Center.

The bride, daughter of Wendell and Deb Miller of Rock Hill, graduated in 2007 from York Technical College. She is an administrative assistant at Acosta Sales & Marketing, Charlotte, N.C.

The bridegroom is the son of Tony and Cheryl Slaughter of Smyrna. He graduated from York Technical College in 2008 and is a customer support specialist at Attus Technologies, Charlotte.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Honor attendant was Heather Peterson of Rock Hill.

Bridesmaids were Lindsey Irizarry of Edgemoor, S.C., Amber Buchholz of Wooster, Ohio and Amy Pendleton of York.

Flower girls were Lillian Fox of York and Madelyn Jones of Chester, Va. Best man was the bridegroom’s father.

Groomsmen were Aaron Slaughter of Smyrna, Bradley Miller of Rock Hill and Chris Pendleton of York.

Ring bearers were Lane Pendleton of York and Braydon Hileman of Lexington, S.C.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Savannah, Key West and the Bahamas and will make their home in Rock Hill.
