Storino-Cooke

Symphony Park, Charlotte, N.C., was the setting Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, for the marriage of Kristen Malia Cooke and Antonio Armando Storino, both of Rock Hill, S.C.

The Rev. Steve Hogg officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Symphony Park.

The bride is the daughter of Martin L. and Sandra S. Cooke of Rock Hill. She is the granddaughter of the late Samuel H. and Geneva H. Sturgis and the late Clarence B. and Lula L. Cooke, all formerly of Rock Hill.

Malia graduated in 2002 from Carolina Academy, Gastonia, N.C., and is a hair stylist with New Creations Inc., Charlotte, N.C.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. Armando Storino and Ms. Gloria Storino, both of Rock Hill. He is the grandson of the late Luis Duran Belez and Hilda Teixeira DeDuran and the late Antonio Storino and Rogeria Toro, all formerly of Barranquilla, Colombia, South America. Tony served in the United States Army from 1997-2001, and is a superintendent with Rehab Builders Inc., Winston Salem, N.C.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Amanda Storino of Lancaster, S.C. Maid of honor was Jaime Black of Catawba, S.C.

Bridesmaids were Lydia Acevedo, Nikki Frounfelter, Nicole Cooke, Kathryne Quinn, Jennifer Hallman, Erin Prus, all of Rock Hill and Ally Painter of Mount Holly, N.C.

Flower girl was Alonna Storino of Lancaster.

Best men were the bridegroom’s brothers, Armando Storino of Lancaster and Luis Storino of Rock Hill.

Groomsmen were Brandt Cooke, Bernie Cooke, Alex Mora, Rick Rayfield, Lee McEachin, Eric Kay, all of Rock Hill.

Jonathan Frounfelter, of Rock Hill, served as an usher.

Junior groomsman was the bridegroom’s son, Andrew Storino of Rock Hill.

The wedding was directed by Gail Allen. Floral designs were created by Jessica Gibbs and Side Porch catered the reception.

Brian Keelan of Z Brothers DJ’s provided music for the ceremony and reception.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Las Vegas and will make their home in Rock Hill.
