AME ZION

South Carolina Annual Conference: 143rd annual session, Wednesday through Oct. 25 at Pineville AME Zion Church, S.C. 5 York. Highlights include: Communion service, 9 a.m. and welcome program and evening worship, 7 p.m., both Wednesday; various reports during the day and evening worship, 7 p.m. Thursday; Missionary prayer breakfast, 9 a.m. and stoling service, 7:30 p.m. Friday; Home missions banquet, 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at Baxter Hood Center; worship and commissioning, 9 a.m. Oct. 25 at South Point High School, led by Bishop Kenneth Monroe.

Chestnut Grove AME Zion Church: Pastor appreciation service, 11 a.m. Sunday.

Foundation AME Zion Church, Neely Store Road, Rock Hill: Calendar Tea, 7 tonight. Tickets are $5. Pastor appreciation for the Rev. Malcolm L. Taylor, after worship Sunday.

Liberty Hill AME Zion Church, Lake Wylie: Appreciation weekend for the Rev. Thelma T. Gordon, 5 p.m. today with a “Black and White Affair” at the new Holiday Inn in Rock Hill and a service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Banquet tickets are $40 per person.

Pineville AME Zion Church, Rock Hill: Appreciation service for the Rev. Alton R. Pegus, 3 p.m. Sunday.
