Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte: Brass Fest X, a concert of local brass musicians, will be 4 p.m. Jan. 20. The band has 60 members from schools, churches and community ensembles and was founded by David Silden, director of the Park Road Baptist Church Brass Ensemble and the David Silden Brass Ensemble. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations may be given and will benefit Hyaets, a faith-based, nonprofit organization that benefits the Enderly Park community.

Fundamental Baptist Church, Rock Hill: 12th pastoral anniversary celebration for the Rev. Edward and Linda Brown, 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. W.W. Thompson. Dinner after the service at the Rose of Sharon fellowship hall.
