The Yorkville Artists Guild will have an art auction and dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Magnolia Room, 4017 Laurel Creek Drive, Rock Hill. The event will feature about 100 paintings done by some of the region's finest artists.

BooHaHa among Halloween festivities
Here are some Halloween happenings:
• The seventh annual BooHaHa will be 5:30 to 11 p.m. Thursday in downtown Rock Hill. Free trick or treating will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. along Main Street. The event includes a costume contest, inflatable rides and games, a haunted trail, food vendors and movie showings in the Old Town Amphitheater at City Hall on Black Street. • Woodlawn Presbyterian Church will have a family Halloween night movie at 8 p.m. Friday in the graveyard behind the cemetery at the church, 3852 Woodlawn St., Sharon. Admission is free. Food will be sold.
• Boy Scout Troop and Pack 133's annual Halloween carnival will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Holly United Methodist Church, S.C. 901 South. The event includes games, a costume contest, cake walks, baked goods and more. Admission is free.
It's the season for fall festivals, craft shows

Veterans Day parade planned in York
A Veterans Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at the York County Courthouse on Congress Street, York. It will end at Whiteside Cleaners, downtown York.
Following the parade will be a celebration event, including performances by the York Comprehensive High School band and ROTC unit, reenactor units, color guards and more. The speaker will be retired Army Lt.-Gen. Paul Gene Blackwell of York County. Admission is free.
Art frenzy event planned on Nov. 6
The Arts Council of York County will have its second annual Art After Hours "Art Frenzy" event Nov. 6 at the Center for the Arts, 121 E. Main St., Rock Hill. All work is priced at $300 or less. A members-only preview will be from 6 to 7 p.m. and the event is open to the public at 7 p.m. Admission is free for members and $10 for non-members. Concerts planned at two area churches
These concerts are happening:
• The Winthrop University Choral program will host a collaborative concert with the College of Charleston at 8 p.m. Monday at Oakland Baptist Church, 1067 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill. The concert is free and open to the public.
• The Disciples and Central's Trio will perform a concert of traditional gospel music at 6 p.m. Nov. 2 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2955 S.C. West 160, Fort Mill. The Disciples and Central's Trio are a music ministry of Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. Admission is free. Donations are accepted.
