Friday, November 6

Need a laugh? Head to South Pointe High for Neil Simon's “The Odd Couple.” Come join Oscar and Felix and the rest of the poker playing fellas in New York for a night of friendship, divorce, poker and fighting while you laugh till it hurts. This production features Jonathan Hoskins, Joshua Elmore, D.J. Durham, Eddy West, Jonathon Long, Shivam Patel, Caitlin Gilliland and Kayla Davis. Shows are tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets are available at the door.

Rock 'n' roll historian Barry Drake will give his presentation “1970s Rock: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” at 8 p.m. in Plowden Auditorium at Winthrop University. Tickets cost $5 with a Winthrop I.D. and $10 without.

Saturday, November 7

The Kelly Bell Phat Blues and comedian Kevin Bozeman will perform at 8 p.m. at the Dinkins Student Center ATS Café at Winthrop University. Tickets cost $5 with a Winthrop I.D. and $10 without.

Catch an encore presentation of “Parallel Lives,” a show by Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimi, at 8 p.m. at the Rock Hill Community Theater, 240 E. Black St. in Rock Hill. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Sunday, November 8

Go a on a tour of the current night sky, and learn how to identify bright constellations and planets at the Settlemyre Planetarium's Carolina Skies show at 2 and 3 p.m. at the Museum of York County in Rock Hill. Museum admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for ages 4 to 17 and free for members and children 3 and younger.

Monday, November 9

Teens can celebrate the release of “Twilight: New Moon” with a trivia contest, crafts and other activities based on the book from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Fort Mill Public Library in Baxter Village. Participants must be in grades 6 through 12. Registration required. Call 803-547-4114 to register.

Tuesday, November 10

Nationally acclaimed musician and storyteller David Holt will perform at the Culture & Heritage Museums' 11th annual Keepers of the Culture awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. at the McCelvey Center, 212 E. Jefferson St. in York. Tickets cost $8 for members and $10 for non-members.

Rock Hill pianist Ann Herlong will give a recital at 7:30 p.m. at Barnes Recital Hall at Winthrop University. The program will include compositions by Scarlatti, Mendelssohn, Ravel and Chopin.
