Patsy Ball Grimmitt

ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Laura Patricia "Patsy" Ball Grimmitt, 62, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, ending her fight against cancer.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.

Patsy retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department in 2005. She was the daughter of Doris Ball Romine of Columbia, Tenn., and the late Wayne A. Ball Sr. She was the widow of Harry L. Grimmitt Sr.

In addition to her mother, Patsy is survived by her brother, W.A. Tony (Jennifer) Ball Jr. of Columbia, Tenn.; her daughter, Tracie Grimmitt Williams of Rock Hill; her son, Harry L. (Cindy) Grimmitt Jr. of Hampshire, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Dani and Tanner Williams of Rock Hill and Seth and Drew Grimmitt of Hampshire, Tenn.

The family especially thanks Mike Williams for his generous love and support during our difficult time.
