Police ID body discovered in Lancaster Co.

- The Charlotte Observer

The woman's body found off S.C. 97 near Heath Springs in southwestern Lancaster County on Wednesday has been identified as a Charlotte woman reported missing June 10.

The body of Ada Judith Torruco, 33, was found Wednesday morning near the scene of an unrelated fatal shooting, and two men have been charged with murder in her death.

Torruco was last seen May 27.

Kershaw authorities say they have charged two men -- Juan Carlos Cruz Estrada, 38, and Javier Agilar Rosas, 29 -- in her death. The two men live in Kershaw County.

Police say they believe Torruco was killed May 29 in Kershaw County, and her body was dumped in nearby Lancaster County. Estrada and Rosas are being held in a Kershaw County jail.

Torruco's family members in another state contacted Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police on June 10 and filed a missing person report, saying they had been unable to reach her.
