The top seven teams in each race advanced to next Saturday's state meet at the Sandhills Research Center in Columbia.
Fort Mill was third with 72 points, Nation Ford fifth with 140 and Northwestern seventh with 178 in the girls race.
Fort Mill was second in the boys race with 116 points. Northwestern was third with 118 and Nation Ford sixth with 145.
Clover was 14th and didn't qualify as a team, but Nick Francis was 9th in the individual race and earned a spot at the state meet.
At the Middle Class AAAA qualifier at Sandhills, Rock Hill's boys finished third and were the only area team to advance.
Rock Hill's Hannah Robinson won the girls race with a time of 18:44. Robinson qualified as an individual along with Nation Ford's Kirby Cranford, who was 12th.
Three area boys qualified as individuals: Lancaster's Wylie Penagar (fifth) and Nation Ford's Bryan Clark (10th) and Kyle Benson (13th).
