Stallions' Gilmore, Trojans' Neely Mr. Football finalists

Northwestern's Jarrett Neely and South Pointe's Stephon Gilmore are among the seven finalists in the running for this year's South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association Mr. Football of South Carolina Award.

The others are: Mallicial Goodman, West Florence; Roderick McDowell, Sumter; David Sims, Wilson; D.J. Swearinger, Greenwood; Jamere Valentine, Myrtle Beach and Quinton Washington, Timberland.

The award will be presented during the North-South All-Star Game Banquet on Dec. 12 at the Myrtle Beach High School Performing Arts Auditorium on beginning at 7:30 p.m..

The SCADA is excited to announce a 30-minute statewide special that will give 60-year old North-South Game extended exposure. It will be a recap of the North-South festivities, and the presentation of the Mr. Football award and will air on Dec. 14 throughout the state.

The program is presented by "Rage Against the Haze.''

It will include highlights of the North-South Game from the previous day; post-game reactions including interviews with the head coaches and the MVPs and behind the scenes of North-South week all-star experience.
