ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Shirley Carter Ledger, 79, of 3025 Chesbrough Blvd., passed away Friday, December 26, 2008, at Park Pointe Village.

A memorial service for Mrs. Ledger will be 2 p.m. today at Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill, S.C.

Mrs. Ledger was a native of Birmingham, Mich., and the daughter of the late Dale D. Carter and the late Bessie Huntwork Carter.

Mrs. Ledger is survived by her husband, Samuel Ledger of Vero Beach, Fla.; her son, Doug Ledger and his wife, Sandra, of Lake Orion, Mich.; her daughter, Ann Robson and her husband, Jim, of Charlotte, N.C.; and her grandchildren, Andrew Ledger, Michael Ledger, Matthew Ledger, James Robson Jr. and Adria Alexander and her husband, Steven.

The family will receive friends following the service at Park Pointe Village.
