ROCK HILL -- Ms. Ernestine King Stewart, 94, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Magnolia Manor.

Graveside services under the direction of Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Laurelwood Cemetery with Pastor Dan Swan officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.

A native of Rock Hill, Ernestine was a daughter of the late William Monroe and Annie Lee Foster King and the widow of W. Roy Stewart. She was a homemaker and of the Nazarene faith. She was a longtime resident of Clarksville, Tenn.

Surviving are her son, William "Bill" Stewart of Gulfport, Miss.; her daughter, Barbara Richardson of Erie, Pa.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews in-and-around the Rock Hill area.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Ernestine was preceded in death by four brothers, Hugh King, Arnold King, Frel King and Clement King and three sisters, Marie Davis, Pauline Thatcher Dye and Ruth King.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The Erie County Chapter of The American Red Cross, 4961 Pittsburg Avenue, Erie, PA 16509.
