The All-Region 4-AAAA football team has been released and is dominated by players from Rock Hill and South Pointe high schools.
Eight Bearcats and six Stallions are on the 28-player team.
Rock Hill's Joe Montgomery, who led the Bearcats to the region title and an 11-1 record, was named region coach of the year.
The list of Bearcats on the team is headed by four players who were selected to play in postseason all-star games. Jatavius Stewart and Xavier McFadden are headed to the Shrine Bowl. Jamal Tyler and Michael McClure will play in the SCADA North South Game.
South Pointe's Quinten Darby heads the Stallions picks. He will play in the SCADA North-South Game. Jadeveon Clowney, regarded by several scouting services and the top junior defensive player in the nation, also was selected.
Lancaster is represented by four players. Darius Robinson was chosen to play in the SCADA North-South Game.

STATE FOOTBALL — It's well established that Northwestern will play Berkeley at 8 p.m. Friday in the Class AAAA Division II state championship game Friday at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.
The other three games will be played at the same location on Saturday. Byrnes plays Dorman in the Class AAAA Division I title game at noon. At 3 p.m., Central plays Dillon for the Class AA championship. The final game of the day is at 6 p.m., with Myrtle Beach playing Clinton in the Class AAA game.
Tickets are $8 at the participating schools, $10 at the gate.
The Class A state championship games were played Saturday at S.C. State in Orangeburg. Chesterfield won its third straight title with a victory over Lamar in the Division I game. Williston-Elko beat Scott's Branch to win the Division II title.
