AME

Adams Chapel AME Church, West Main Street, Rock Hill: King Day celebration, “A Movement Remembered,” 5 p.m. Monday. Aerobic classes, 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26 and 28 led by Shanetia Funderburk. Cost is $4 per class. Open to the community.

AME Zion

Chestnut Grove AME Zion Church, Chester: Cornerstone blessing and church dedication, 4 p.m. Sunday with the Rt. Rev. Kenneth Monroe, bishop of the South Atlantic Episcopal District.

United AME Zion Church, Steele Street, Fort Mill: United Churches of Fort Mill Martin Luther King celebration, 6 p.m. Sunday with a hymn choir service and the Rev. Loretta Adams English and 6 p.m. Monday with a musical choir service with speakers from the Fort Mill school district, Fort Mill Police Department and Bishop Kenning Monroe.

ARP

Neely's Creek ARP Church, Rock Hill: Refreshments and fellowship, 6 p.m. Sunday. Eric Meburg, missionary to Turkey, will speak at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Neely's Creekers covered-dish lunch, 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the social hall.

BAPTIST

Boyd Hill Baptist Church, Glenn Street, Rock Hill: Pastor's Aid anniversary, 2 p.m. Sunday. The Child Care Center is registering children for enrollment. ABC vouchers are accepted. For more information, call 803-327-5316.

Flint Hill Baptist Church, Flint Hill Road, Rock Hill: Martin Luther King celebration, 7 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Maddon and other speakers and youth praise dancers.

Fundamental Baptist Church, Rock Hill: Four Gospel program, 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Edward Brown celebrated 14 years as pastor on Jan. 3.

Harvest Baptist Church, Miller Pond Road, Rock Hill: Afternoon ladies Bible study, “Life Principles from the Women of the Bible” will resume at 1 p.m. Jan. 26. Cost is $10. Child care and a nursery provided. A community blood drive in honor of 13-year-old Brandon Farley will be from 4:30 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. Indian Land Baptist Church, U.S. 521, Indian Land: Benefit barbecue and bake sale for the McClain family, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Plates are $8 and include barbecue, baked beans, slaw and roll or two sandwiches with chips and slaw.

Liberty Baptist Church, South Shiloh Road, York: Teens will host a morning for children 2 to 8 years old from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 23 featuring a puppet show, music, story time, craft time and a snack. Mount Prospect Baptist Church, West Black Street, Rock Hill: Daniel D., an award-winning violinist, will perform during the 11:15 a.m. worship Sunday. The 20-year-old has been playing since he was 12 years old. He is a 2009 Apollo winner, Charlotte Music Award recipient and BET 106 and Park spotlight performer. A native of Charleston, he has been a featured artist at Spoleto USA festival. His first album, “Play for Me,” has just been released.

Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, Rawlinson Road, Rock Hill: Free clothes closet, 9 a.m. to noon every Wednesday. Other hours are available by calling the church office, 803-324-7530.

Roddey Baptist Church, South Anderson Road at Hall Spencer Road and U.S. 21, Catawba: Free aerobic classes for women, 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning Feb. 4. The classes are open to the community
