Chester blows past St. Jude in 54-0 romp

It wasn't quite Georgia Tech 222, Cumberland 0, but the St. Jude Fighting Christians were clearly outmatched against the Chester Cyclones.

The Cyclones held St. Jude to 15 net yards and three first downs in route to a 54-0 victory.

Chester scored in all three phases. Temeris Dixon recovered his own blocked punt in the end zone. D.J. McCree and Antonio Patton each returned interceptions for touchdowns.

Derrell Rambert had 10 carries for 80 yards for the Cyclones.

Westminster Catawba 25, Metrolina (N.C.) 26

Stevie Major rushed for 190 yards, added 100 receiving yards and scored a touchdown to lead Westminster Catawba to a 35-26 victory Friday night over Metrolina of North Carolina.

The Indians' Mark Vehaun passed for 287 yards and a touchdown in the win.

It was Westminster Catawba first win of the season after three losses.
