Lancaster's Sindarius Thornwell and Great Falls' Xavier Holmes have been named Players of the Year by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association.

The organization released its all-state teams for each of the four classifications, with boys and girls team. Thornwell was named Class AAAA's top boys player. Holmes grabbed the honor in Class A, which he shared with Baptist Hill's Shaquille Mitchell. Lancaster is 23-3. Great Falls, Class A's defending state champion, is 23-1.

Fort Mill's Jon Brown was named to the boys Class AAA team and Indian Land's Hayden Sawyer in Class AA.

Clover's Bria Huffman was named to the girls Class AAAA team. Nation Ford put a pair of players, Katie Bright and Zharne Glover on the Class AAA team.
