A Rock Hill man was convicted earlier this month on charges he kidnapped and sexually assaulted two women in a Rock Hill apartment complex in 2010, according to the 16th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

James Lamarcus Page, 22, was found guilty on two counts each of kidnapping, possession of a knife during the commission of a violent crime, second-degree assault and battery and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to a press release from the 16th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

Judge John C. Hayes III sentenced Page to concurrent sentences of 30 years on all the charges, the release states.

The charges stem from a September 2010 incident in two women, ages 52 and 56, were assaulted and kidnapped at a Cardinal Pointe apartment, according to the release.

The trial began earlier this month, with testimony from the victims, along with detectives and forensics officers, the release states. After the 4-day trial, the jury took four hours to reach the verdicts.

Assistant solicitors Erin Joyner and Teasa Weaver prosecuted the case.
