Mount Prospect Baptist Church and the Racial Ethnic Concerns Committee of Providence Presbytery will host Juneteenth celebrations Enjoying Gifts from the Past Saturday and Sunday.
Saturdays event will include music, storytelling, art, games, food and health screenings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hermon Presbyterian Church, Heckle Boulevard, Rock Hill.
A fellowship lunch will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Mount Prospect, West Black Street, Rock Hill with a combined worship at 3 p.m.
Juneteenth is the oldest know celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the South.
