Lewisville Lions run wild in 42-7 win over Indian Land

September 8, 2012

— The Lewisville Lions broke in front 14-0 and never looked back, claiming a 42-7 victory over the Indian Land Warriors Friday night.

The Lions struck on their first drive. Qua Walls found Cody Montgomery on a 41-yard touchdown pass. The very next drive, Walls hooked up with Alan Jordan from 55 yards away to give the Lions the early lead.

It was still 14-0 at the half, but Indian Land had plenty of chances to score. Chad Smith missed field goals from 27 and 31 yards, and the Warriors threw the ball inside Lewisville’s 2 yard line three times, failing to score.

With nine minutes left in the third quarter, Malcolm Means scored from 24 yards out to make it 21-0. Dominque Smith got the Warriors on the board running straight up the middle from 25 yards away.

Indian Land appeared to have some momentum, but Malcolm Means intercepted Dylan McGuirt. Means broke several tackles and raced 75 yards to make it 28-7.

Lewisville got a 16-yard touchdown pass from Walls to Tony Gaston to make it 35-7. Then Walls finished the scoring as he broke to the outside and scored from six yards out.
