Students from Westminster Catawba Christian School joined other groups and members of the Rock Hill community in offering a hand on Saturday to local individuals and families by painting a Rock Hill home that could benefit from a new coat of paint during the annual Rolling in Rock Hill project. The house they painted is on Rockwood Drive. This is the second year that WCCS students have participated in the service project. Last year, the school had twenty students join them for their inaugural participation in the program, and this year over twenty five students signed up. ÒWe count it a privilege to be a part of this event in order to give back to the Rock Hill community and to share the love of Christ through our actionsÓ, says Dean of Students, Billy Fisher. Each year since 1995, the Rolling in Rock Hill project has been painting the houses of those who are either physically or financially unable to do so themselves. WCCS students worked in a team along with hundreds of other community volunteers and sponsors to paint area houses in the community. ANDY BURRISS — aburriss@heraldonline.com Buy Photo
