Published: October 2, 2012

— Four Clover High School students were arrested Monday after an argument between them escalated into a brawl on a school bus.

Christopher Red Rodriguez, 17, two 16-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy were charged with third-degree assault and battery and interfering with the operation of a school bus, according to a York County Sheriff’s report.

The younger teens’ identity was not released because they’re juveniles.

Around 8:20 a.m., the 14-year-old and one of the 16-year-olds began to argue when Rodriguez stood up and confronted one of them, demanding that he be quiet or face physical harm, the report states. One of the boys turned to his brother, the report states, and soon an argument began between them and Rodriguez.

Rodriguez allegedly punched one of the boys in the face and they started fighting. Other students on the bus broke up the fight, the report states, but the teens kept arguing and shouting threats and profanities at each other.

The fight was captured on the bus’ surveillance video. One of the teens was only charged with interfering with the operation of a school bus, while all the others received both charges.
