A 25-year-old Rock Hill man is charged with attempted murder after he held a 10-inch butcher knife blade to his friend's throat on Tuesday night, police say.
Nicholis Snipes told police he was on acid the night before and admitted to holding a knife to the man’s throat, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The 27-year-old victim and a witness told officers they picked Snipes up from Lancaster and brought him back to Rock Hill on the day of the assault. Snipes was living with someone in Charlotte, they told police, and a similar incident happened there before.
Snipes threatened the man inside his Rock Hill home, holding a knife to the man’s throat and saying, “that if he did not sit down, he would cut his throat,” the report states.
The man told police he sat down and Snipes pulled the knife away but not before he injured the man’s throat.
Police say Snipes also admitted he had been drinking vodka that day.
