ROCK HILL — A 15-year-old South Pointe High School student was arrested Tuesday after school officials learned he brought a butterfly knife onto school grounds.
Around 12:15 p.m., the schools assistant principal received information that the boy, a Rock Hill resident, had a knife, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The assistant principal met with the student and found the knife, the report states. The schools resource officer was called and charged the boy with carrying a weapon on school property.
The report did not say where he stashed the knife.
