ROCK HILL — A Fort Mill man on Monday returned to a house he owns in Rock Hill to find its electric meter had been stolen and the lower level of the home flooded.
Police went to the man’s Annafrel Street home sometime after 3 p.m. and saw a $600 meter missing from the side of the house and water gushing from under one of the doors, according to a Rock Hill police report. The man said he hadn’t been at the home for about a week, but his son was there on Wednesday and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.
The man, 57, said his realtor told him the house began to flood. When police went inside, they found boxes of clothes and other items scattered throughout one of the rooms and a window in the bedroom at the back of the house left open, the report states. It also looked as if someone slept in the bed.
Forensics detectives were unable to find any fingerprints, the report states.
