ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill man and his wife were arrested Saturday after the husband threw an unopened beer can at his wife’s female lover when he caught the two women engaging in sexual activity, deputies say.
The wife then allegedly poked her husband in the eye.
The husband, 46, was charged with third-degree assault and battery and his wife, 42, was charged with criminal domestic violence, according to a York County Sheriff’s report.
Deputies met with the wife and her 38-year-old girlfriend at an Old Friendship Road home, where everyone had apparently been drinking all day, the report states. The wife’s girlfriend said the husband threw a full beer can at her, cutting the inside of her lip, after he caught them in the bedroom, the report states.
The wife admitted to deputies that she poked her husband in his left eye. Two witnesses confirmed the night’s events.
Both the wife and husband were arrested.
