ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill man admitted to police that he threw a knife through a woman’s apartment window after she argued with a neighbor.
Police were called to apartments on Camden Avenue near McDonalds, responding to what they initially believed was a shots fired call, according to a Rock Hill police report. They quickly realized it was about damage to property after meeting a woman who said her neighbor threw a knife through her front window.
The woman, 37, said she shut her door on the neighbor she was arguing with, the report states. “Immediately” after the door closed, a knife flew through her front window, causing $200 in damage, the report states.
She believed it was her neighbor, who lived at a house next to an apartment complex. Police went to the neighbor’s house. There, they encountered Marcus A. Jones, a 20-year-old man staying at the house, who admitted that he, not the man arguing with the woman, threw the knife through the window.
He was arrested and charged with damage to property.
