York real estate agent Mike Wiley was arrested Wednesday and charged with growing marijuana, possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of an assault weapon, according to a report from the York County Sheriffs Office and the Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit.
Wiley, 56, of McFarland Road in York, was arrested Wednesday just before noon and charged as a fugitive from justice, the report states. The other charges stemmed from a warrant in Butte County, Calif.
Police intercepted 92 pounds of marijuana in a package being shipped to Wileys home in York, according to the report.
Wiley also has a home in California, where the shipment originated, said Marvin Brown, commander of the drug enforcement unit.
Investigators also discovered six prior packages of similar weight shipped to Wiley's residence in York during 2012, the report states.
The drug enforcement unit searched Wiley's home and, according to the report, they located a small amount of marijuana in earlier shipping crates similar to the 92-pound package intercepted in California.
Wiley is being held at the York County Detention Center.
Wileys prior criminal record shows he was arrested and convicted of driving under the influence in 1983 in York County, according to a SLED background check.
