ROCK HILL — Two Rock Hill men angry that their orders were taking too long were arrested Sunday when they held open the drive-thru window of Steak ‘N Shake and shouted profanities at the manager, police say.

Police charged David Lofton, 30, and 19-year-old Billy Pannell with public disorderly conduct. Both were released on bond.

Officers went to the Cherry Road Steak ‘N Shake around 2:30 a.m. and saw Lofton and Pannell standing at the drive-thru window, yelling and shouting profanities at the manager and restaurant employees while demanding their orders, a Rock Hill police report says.

Police say customers inside the restaurant were able to hear the men shouting, the report states. They were arrested and taken to jail.

In an unrelated incident, a 45-year-old woman complained that her alcohol bill at Red’s Grill on East Main Street was too high Saturday. She became unruly, a police report states, and began using profanity before she left the restaurant and threw food at an employee’s car.

The food never hit the car, the report states. The woman was not charged.
