ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill man with prior convictions for assault and unlawfully carrying weapons was arrested Sunday after police say he broke into his ex-girlfriends house and raped her three times.
Police have charged Daeron Deville White, 30, with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Rock Hill police documents.
According to a police report, the 32-year-old victim told police Saturday that White, her ex-boyfriend, sent her a text message stating that he saw she let that old man in her room while she was with a male guest. She looked out her windows, but did not see White.
After her friend left the Haigler Street house, White forced his way into the womans home and broke into her bedroom using a knife, the report states. He grabbed her cell phone and her neck, pinning her down on the bed while he pointed a black handgun to her head and raped her repeatedly, according to the report.
He told her that if she told the police, he would kill her, according to the report.
White and the woman lived together from March 2011 to December 2011, according to the report, and they broke up in August.
Since 2001, White has been convicted of receiving stolen goods, malicious injury to personal property, petty larceny, failing to stop for a blue light, resisting arrest and several felony drug charges, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.
From 1999 to 2003, he was in state prison for crack possession, said Clark Newsom, department spokesman. He was released on parole.
According to SLED:
• In 2007, he was sentenced to six months probation running concurrent with a sentence for possession of methadone or cocaine.
• A year later, he was sentenced to time served for assault of a high and aggravated nature and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
• He pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary in 2011 and was sentenced to pay $2,400 in restitution.
Court records with the S.C. Judicial Department show several more charges for White under another name, Darren White, with the same middle name and birthday. According to those records, he pleaded guilty in 2005 to resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
